Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actress since the end of the 1980s. Her work has been recognized for TV and film since the late 1980s she has received various accolades such as two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was raised in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an aunt in New York New York. As Bassett was around five She and her sister moved to St. Petersburg, Florida to live with their mother who had been divorced from her father. Bassett watched the James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play as she was still in highschool and realized that acting is what she wanted to do. Yale University New Haven Connecticut in which she graduated with her bachelor's in African American and master's degrees (1983). Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale, and in 1997 they tied the knot. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in 1980. Master of Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (7th grade), Azalea Middle School (8th and 9th grades), Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett has been cast as one of the main roles of Ramonda for the action adventure movie i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
