Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress from America. In the last decade, Angela Evelyn has worked on film and television. The actress has won several awards, among them the 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett originates born in New York New York. She was born in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett and her sister, aged five, old, moved away from the city of their birth to St. Petersburg to live with the mother of their separated father. When she was in high school Bassett saw John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided she wanted to pursue a career as an actor. Yale University New Haven Connecticut in which she graduated with her bachelor's degree in African American and master's degrees (1983). She was married in 1997. married Courtney B. Vance who was a fellow actor. Qualification: B.A. Graduated from Yale School of Drama School with a Master's Degree in African American studies in the year 1980.
